As a result of complications from diabetes damage is caused to blood vessels and nerves of the foot. Every chafing and stretching on the skin can cause damage (corns, scratches, and skin itchiness) which can complicate and become a diabetic ulcer. At “Barak Orthopedics” we have developed a “Foot Guard” (sole) which prevents the negative forces exerting on the area of the toes which cause wounds. Diabetes patients suffer from the toe injury these forces prevent healing of the injury. The “Barak Orthopedics” method eliminates these forces and so the wound on the toes seals up quickly where the added advantage of “Barak Orthopedics” is that after the healing of the wound the “soles” are protective measures preventing additional wounds. The “Barak Orthopedics” method has been approved as an Israeli development registered as a patent with the USA patents office. In addition medical research carried out by Prof. Niska (Director of The Orthopedic Ward in Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba) in collaboration with Prof. Moshe Ayalon (Dean of Students and Head of the Bio-Mechanic Laboratory at the Wingate Institute). An additional research was carried out by Dr. Peledbrin (Deputy Director of the Orthopedic Ward ay Wolfson Hospital, Holon). The results of these researches surprised the researchers (in light of the amazing results the researches intend carrying out research on a much wider scope). “Barak Orthopedics” is the only orthopedic establishment whose unique developments have undergone medical researches approved by Helsinki Convention for Human Rights) to prevent and cure diabetic ulcers
